    Let's get started

I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.

My practice specializes in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy to treat individuals, couples, and families. Some of the mental health concerns we deal with are:

    Our Therapy Approaches

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is a short-term, problem-focused form of behavioral treatment that helps people see the difference between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, and free them from unhelpful patterns of behavior.

CBT is grounded in the belief that it is a person’s perception of events – rather than the events themselves – that determines how he or she will feel and act in response.

Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal focused, evidence based form of behavioral treatment which helps people change by shifting their attention from focusing on their problems to constructing solutions.

SFBT practitioners work with clients to generate a detailed description of what life would be like with their situation improved and/or problem completely removed, search through the client’s life experiences and behavioral patterns for readily available resources and tools, then utilize those resources to construct practical, sustainable, and readily implementable solutions.
